Girls Rhythmic Gymnastics Team

Our award-winning Girls only competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics team program is a passion for us at Miami Gymnastics.  This program is meant for those girls who want to participate in the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics and not the “activity” of Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Miami Gymnastics competitive teams are separate programs from the fun and recreational levels of the gym. Miami Gymnastics competitive program provides training with olympic equipment including ball, ribbon, hoop, clubs and floor exercise.


Miami Gymnastics provides our gymnasts with the best training aides, include AAI Olympic size Rhythmic Floor, extremely high ceilings, ballet bars and much more. We are proud to be the first and the only professional Rhythmic Gymnastics facility in the entire Miami area. In addition, Miami Gymnastics Academy prides itself for having the most experienced and professional coaches who teach correct gymnastics technique.

Correct training is vital for the long-term success of the gymnast. All gymnasts will learn Rhythmic Gymnastics safely through proper skill progressions, strength and flexibility training, as well as necessary mental preparation.

All those wishing to be considered for our team programs may contact our office to schedule a class placement evaluation. Miami Gymnastics offers Rhythmic Gymnastics Levels 3-10. Ballet training is included, as it is an integral part of Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Future Stars ( 3 - 5 y.o. +)

This class is designed for the most talented young gymnasts who have ability and desire to be in a warm but challenging environment. The HOT SHOTS is specifically designed to meet the needs and challenges of our young gymnasts who have demonstrated great body awareness, control & strength. There are very specific goals that we are focused on achieving.

Gymnasts are hand selected for this program based on their attitude, work ethic, desire, gymnastics skills, strength, flexibility, determination & personality. This is a pre-competitive program and it requires parent and gymnasts commitment to a min of two classes per week, 75 min each.

The Hot Shots program is designed to prepare young gymnasts for future competition by emphasizing strong basic fundamentals, strength, flexibility, discipline and respect for the sport. It is gymnast’s introduction to Pre-Competitive Program which actually takes the little gymnast to the next, more serious, level of gymnastics: gymnastics as a “sport” verses gymnastics as an “activities”.

Training will maintain a balance of seriousness and fun, and the entire experience will be extremely enjoyable for children who are passionate about the sport!
This program is similar to TOPS but is designed for the youngest gymnasts who have not met the age requirements for the TOPS program.

As all MGDA Pre-Competitive Gymnasts, Hot Shots members need to participate in all Team Intensive programs and/or Team Camps/Clinics at Miami Gymnastics through the entire year.



Length: 75 minutes
Pre-Qualifications: Must past skill test
Apparel:Girls - Pink Leotard, Long Hair Pulled up in a pony tail, Rhythmic half-shoes (available in our office). Parents - Socks, no bare feet.
Regular training schedule September through May/June.
Adjusted schedule during summer months.
Tuition fee shown on the schedule is based on the number of days listed on the schedule. We strongly recommend you speak to the instructor to determine a suitable number of classes per week for maximum skill progression. Discounts available for multiple classes 20 - 50%. An annual family membership fee is due at the time of enrollment. The fee is based on the program.
Pre Team (4 - 6 y.o.)
This program has been designed for our most talented your students.  They must demonstrate the ability and desire to be in this warm but challenging program.  The gymnast who is selected for this program most demonstrate an aptitude for achieving.

As instructors we based acceptance into this program on their attitude, desire, gymnastics skills, flexibility, personality and work ethic. Being that this is a pre-competitive  program it requires both parents and gymnasts to comit to three 90 minute class each week.

The Rhythmic-Pre-Team program is designed to prepare young gymnasts for future competition by emphasizing the strong basic fundamentals that are strength, flexibility, coordination, discipline and respect for the sport.

This level is what enables the gymnast to take on the next, more rigid level of gymnastics as a sport. Training is a balance of fun and seriousness, and should be enjoyable to the gymnast that is passionate about the sport.  Ballet is integral to rhythmic gymnastics and is included in the training.

MAs all Miami Gymnastics Pre-Competitive Gymnasts, Rhythmic Pre-Team members are obligated to participate in all Team Intensive programs and/or Team Camps/Clinics at Miami Gymnastics throughout the entire year.

Team Levels 1 - 2 (6 y.o. +)
Rhythmic Gymnastics requires a great amount of discipline and determination. To suceed in this program it is extremely important to develop these traits in gymnasts as young as possible. Our League program is designed to prepare gymnasts for competitions by developing the strong basic fundamentals of strength, flexibility, discipline and respect for the sport.

This is not an activity program but a discipline sport program.

The gymnast who is selected for this program most demonstrate an aptitude for achieving.  As instructors we base acceptance into this program on their attitude, desire, gymnastics skills, flexibility, personality and work ethic.

This program is comprised of like minded gymnasts trained in an environment meant to further build their abilities with other gymnasts who share like potential and desire.

Training is a balance of fun and seriousness, and should be enjoyable to the gymnast that is passionate about the sport.  Ballet is integral to rhythmic gymnastics and is included in the training.

Miami Gymnastics and our staff prides itself on teaching proper Ballet and Rhythmic Gymnastics' techniques. Our methodology and techniques ensures that all gymnasts learn and progress through proper skill progressions based on strength and flexibility training as well as mental prepardness.

Competitive Gymnasts need to participate in all Team Intensive programs and/or Team Camps/Clinics at Miami Gymnastics through the entire year.

Team Levels 3 - 10 (6 y.o. +)
Competive USA Rhytmic Gymnastics Junior Olympic sanctioned competitions start at level 3. The gymnast must be atleast 6 years old on or before their 1st competition. Once competition starts, time commitments for the parent and child increase dramatically.

Rythmic gymnastic competition events test strenght, rythm, musicality, balance, flexibility and the agility of the gymnast.

Scoring is based upon the routines level of difficulty, artistry, execution, expression, musicality and originality.  With Level 5, routines will be tailored to the gymnast. At this stage the routine is meant to enahnce the gymnasts strong points and distinctive style.

As with our other programs, each new Level brings a new set of increasingly difficult requirements that need to be included in the routine.

Miami Gymnastics offers rhtymic training through level 10.  As the gymnast progresses through the levels, we will tailor the training to fit the gymnast, providing a custom training program.

Miami Gymnastics Academy prides itself on teaching correct Rhythmic Gymnastics techniques, vital for long-term success in this sport.

The gymnast who is selected for this program most demonstrate an aptitude for achieving.  As instructors we base acceptance into this program on their attitude, desire, gymnastics skills, flexibility, personality and work ethic.

This program is comprised of like minded gymnasts trained in an environment meant to further build their abilities with other gymnasts who share like potential and desire.

Proper training and preparation at the early Pre-Team / League levels is essential for success at this stage.

Competitive Gymnasts are required to participate in all Team Intensive programs and/or Team Camps/Clinics at Miami Gymnastics through the entire year.

The Competitions include: at least 2 Invitational Meets (most likely one local, hosted by Miami Gymnastics and 1 in Tampa), State Meet, Regional and National* (* National Meet is for Levels 4 and up and qualifications may be required).
