Gymnastics

Classes are structured to teach the necessary progressions of Olympic events.  Our classes concentrate on bars, beams, vault and floor exercises including cartwheels to somersaults.  Our lesson plans include tumble and/or trampoline tracks.  All students are divided into similar skill level groups, starting with Beginners to Advanced.

Adults

This class follows the standards set by USA Gymnastics (governing body of Gymnastics in the United States).  The class is taught by a qualified instructor; who teaches the basics of Men’s apparatus, including Floor Exercises, High Bar, Parallel bars, Pommel Horse, Rings and vaults.

The class is approximately 60 minutes long and increases as the gymnast progresses.  Rotations include three events (Bars, Floor, and Vault) typically where instructors use demonstrations and guided practice to help students learn new moves. A trampoline or tumble track may also be part of the lesson plan, depending on skill level as well as tumbling and muscle strength building.

Mastery of new skills through comprehension and progression training is a cornerstone of our program.  Through this training, self esteem and endurance is built up.  Students are evaluated at the end of every 5-week rotation to track progression and advancement. Based on the evaluation the student will remediate the class or move on to the next level and/or join the boy’s gymnastics team.

Tumbling
iami Gymnastics offers beginner to advanced tumbling classes.  All students are grouped by similarly skilled levels.
Proper stretching techniques with an emphasis on shoulder flexibility, strength training, and core tumbling skills; Rolls, bridges, handstand, cartwheel, and round-offs.

Additionally, front limbers and walk-overs, back hand springs and flips.  This is a progression based class and as the student progresses the tools and lessons learned will be encompassed into the advance class.

At the intermediate and advanced level, students will be expected to be moderately flexible and have mastery over the beginners skills taught.  Continued strength, flexibility and tumbling progression work will endure as well as progression of tumbling skills.

Students will be evaluated before being invited to participate in an intermediate or advanced group.  Students will have all necessary equipment available to them for their class, trampolines, 40 ft. tumble track, incline and panel mats, foam pit, etc.

Open Gym
All open gym sessions are available on a pay as you go basis as well as on a monthly fee basis.

Unlimited
Our adult unlimited gymnastics program is unique.  For one flat fee you get high quality instruction as often as we offer classes.  There is no set schedule since we offer classes every day, all day. There are no make-up classes, so your skill level progression is up to you.  Please consult the class schedule to determine class times according to your skill level.

Our instructors are the most competent around and will give you what you need to achieve your goals. They will push you to be the best you can be and help you reach your goals.
