GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Our recreational program for children ages 5 ½ years old and older is specifically designed and tailored to each child. Our programs are designed to benefit each child's particular skill level both physically and mentally. Safety is our number one priority here & that is why Miami Gymnastics places such emphasis on proper progression of skills.

We want gymnasts to feel the empowerment of athletics and by having distinct class levels children learn at their own pace.

The classes are structured around all the Olympic events teaching the necessary progressions from cartwheels to somersaults. Lesson plans always include trampoline or tumble track.

Every student is challenged to their utmost ability. Students are grouped with their friends and by age & ability.

Girls Gymnastics Schedule
(regular training schedule September through May/June, schedule will be adjusted during summer months)

BRONZE 1 (5 ½ - 9 ) AND BRONZE 2 (10 +)

This class is specifically tailored for the beginning gymnast. Gymnasts will be introduced to the basic core skills of gymnastics on all four apparatus (vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise).They also will be working on Trampoline and our 40 foot long Tumble Track. Proper stretching techniques & strength training will be emphasized to provide a foundation for continued progression.

Every student is challenged to their utmost ability. Skills are evaluated at the end of every 5-weeks (half-session and the end of the session) to track progression and advancement and to check gymnasts ability to move forward to the next level. Class duration is 60 min, with options to do any amount of classes per week.

Bronze 1 Practice Schedule

Bronze 2 Practice Schedule

SILVER 1 (5 ½ - 9 ) AND SILVER 2 (10 +)

The Silver classes will further build on core skills taught in Bronze. This class is designed for gymnasts who have desire to be in a warm but challenging environment. Students will have the opportunity to perfect their beginner level skills while progressing to intermediate and advanced gymnastics skills on all four events and that will require increased strength and flexibility.  

Proper skill execution will be emphasized to promote future advancements. Every student is challenged to their utmost ability. Skills are evaluated at the end of every 5-weeks (half-session and the end of the session) to track progression and advancement and to check gymnasts ability to move forward to the next level or joining pre-team/team. Students in the Silver classes are highly encouraged to attend two times per week.

 Classes are 75 minutes. A minimum of 2 classes per week is recommended.

GOLD 1 (5 ½ - 9 ) AND GOLD 2 (10 +)

The Gold Class is the most advanced recreational gymnastics class offered at Miami Gymnastics. Gymnasts will have the opportunity to challenge their ability in a program where the sky is the limit! Gymnasts will follow proper progressions to achieve advanced level skills at their own pace. Proper skill execution is strongly emphasized. Every student is challenged to their utmost ability .

Skills are evaluated at the end of every 5-weeks (half-session and the end of the session) to track progression and advancement and to check gymnasts ability to move forward to the next level, pre-team or team. Gold classes are the final recreational program for girls prior to moving to the Girls  Pre-Team / Team.

classes are 90 minutes. A minimum of 2 classes per week is highly recommended.
